Paul has worked for BDP for 25 years and in that time has led large complex projects in the Schools, Higher Education, Retail, Healthcare and Leisure sectors and now leads the Technical Delivery Group in BDP.
The Technical Delivery Group (TDG) is a team of central staff providing support across all studios, sectors and locations to drive efficiency and minimise risk through all areas of BDP's technical delivery. Paul leads this team in developing guidance on new standards and regulations and seeks to improve efficiency by helping teams develop new ways of working to accommodate developing technologies.
His experience incorporates both ‘full design’ projects from briefing to completion, alongside ‘delivery’ roles on large scale projects managing the tender and construction stage information and coordinating the wider consultant team. He worked on the rapid design and implementation of the Nightingale Hospital at the NEC in Birmingham during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Paul has great experience of leading and managing large multidisciplinary consultant teams and projects successfully, most recently at the Manchester Engineering Campus Development.
