Jesse Klimitz

As a principal, Jesse collaborates with BDP’s leadership to shape the future of the practice across North America, while steering the global evolution of Human Space to create inclusive environments worldwide.

Jesse oversees the Toronto studio’s strategic planning, business development and marketing teams, regional growth efforts across Canada and the US, and the global evolution of our inclusive design practice, Human Space.

His project experience and expertise span a range of project typologies, from accessibility and inclusion evaluations for major corporations and educational campuses to community-centred urban design, architecture and interior design initiatives. Jesse’s work on guideline and framework development, innovative research, and public engagement has influenced major sport, transit, recreation, healthcare, and education projects from concept to completion.

 An active voice in the architecture and real estate community, Jesse mentors and educates on the importance of accessibility, equity and wellness in the built environment. As a member of the ULI Global Health Leaders Network and a Fitwel Ambassador, he advocates for design that serves everyone. Recognized nationally, he was awarded the 2020 Emerging Leaders Award by Construction Canada for excellence and inspiration in architecture, engineering, and construction.
