The Grade II listed Halifax Building was designed in 1968-1974 with further sympathetic interior refurbishments by BDP in 1996 and 2002.

Iconic 20th century building. The Grade II listed Halifax Building was designed in 1968-1974 with further sympathetic interior refurbishments by BDP in 1996 and 2002. The elegant design integrates structure and services, and provides the greatest degree of flexibility. The organisation of work process was best served by a horizontal relationship of working groups and departments. The automated storage area for a quarter of the country's title deeds and correspondence was situated below ground for maximum security.
