Healthy, inclusively designed spaces encourage recovery within a safe environment.

Delivered under a Design, Build, Finance and Maintain (DBFM) model, the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) Phase 1C Redevelopment involves the construction of approximately 655,000 square feet over two new buildings in downtown Toronto. The buildings accommodate public-oriented facilities, a clinical pharmacy, inpatient and ambulatory clinical services, an emergency department, support spaces and retail.
As an integrated member of Project Co in this public-private partnership development, our inclusive design consultancy, Human Space, worked closely with the architectural team to deliver on the accessibility requirements on the project. These healthy, inclusively designed spaces encourage recovery within a safe environment and usher in a new era of ground-breaking transformation in research and treatment of mental illness.
